Mental Health


Program Qualifications:
This program is designed for those who would benefit from additional support, education and tools for managing issues related to stress, life adjustments, grief or loss, depression and other mental adversities. Many people become vulnerable to mental health issues as they age and are forced to respond to the shifting demands of life. Nevertheless, one can benefit from utilizing new and existing techniques in order to manage his or her life in a balanced and fulfilling manner. Therapists can be seen directly by appointment, and scheduled groups are available for individuals to sign up for. Services are eligible for third party reimbursement.
Program Purpose:
The purpose of this program is to aid in the coping and adjustment related to basic life transitions, as well as to provide improved management of any existing mental and cognitive difficulties such as depression and dementia. Individual therapy is available to identify and address personal goals and needs as well as to provide support as individuals utilize new coping strategies. Educational classes will provide information that relies upon current research in various fields of study pertaining to the types of psychological concerns mentioned above. Group activities will also be available and will focus on self-expressive and hands-on tasks where communication, socialization and connection will be emphasized.
Program Description:
Mental health treatment will be provided by a licensed mental health practitioner. The practitioner will utilize traditional talk therapies along with expressive therapy techniques. Treatment goals will vary from one individual to the next and will be collaborated on by both the individual and practitioner. These programs may also involve additional family members when appropriate.
