Volunteer Program
Individual and Team Participation

This program is structured for individuals who are interested in making a contribution to the benefit of another individual, a community, or to a more global social cause. Participants must have the desire to volunteer a block of their time, have the motivation to ensure the success of their chosen area of involvement, and have the willingness to make minor sacrifices, when necessary, to achieve positive outcomes in the lives of other people.
The purpose of volunteerism is two-fold; to provide benefits to the volunteer as well as to the individuals or causes that are the beneficiaries of the program.
The volunteer can expect to be mentally, emotionally and/or physically stimulated as they help develop and implement their chosen area of commitment. Participation will also result in greater self-satisfaction and purpose in life, and should also benefit the physical health of the involved individual. Additionally, volunteerism has become a necessary tool to meet health and social needs that are often underserved and under funded.
The design of the program is intended to match individuals, or small teams of individuals, to volunteer opportunities in which they have an interest or a passion. Ideally, participants will be presented with options that allow them to use their previous experience and abilities, which will fit their chosen time commitment, and will allow for creativity and challenge. Programs With A Purpose will provide the structure for the program, will facilitate opportunities with third party organizations, and will attempt to remove the barriers that are obstacles for involvement. Training will be provided, when needed, as well as a
clear description of the program, including volunteer expectations, time involvement, and the skills and tools necessary to effectively accomplish the desired goals of each area of involvement.
