Lifestyle Eating and Performance (LEAP) Program
(Nutritional Testing)

This program is designed for any individual that has a food or chemical hypersensitivity that could be the cause of immune related issues, such as, but not limited to, IBS, fibromyalgia, or migraine. Participants will be screened prior to acceptance into the program by a registered dietitian (RD). Participants will be assessed based on symptoms, as well as the individual’s willingness to undergo lifestyle changes and to accept diet therapy modification.
This program is aimed at finding trigger foods and chemicals that are causing internal immune responses that, in turn, may cause symptoms of multiple disease states. The RD will work with the individual to appropriately remove foods and chemicals that can cause inflammation, pain, and other destructive symptoms. In removing reactive foods and chemicals, the RD will assist the participant in understanding how diet modification may assist in disease management and allow the participant to have more control over their own health maintenance. The overall program purpose is to allow an individual to have a greater understanding of how their body may react to food and chemical sensitivities, and to allow the individual to begin a healing process that is not dependent on medications or other therapies that may only be masking current symptoms.
In the initial consultation with the RD, participants are screened for appropriateness and willingness to accept dietary change. Once an individual is accepted into the program, a blood test will be done to identify food or chemical sensitivities. Upon receiving the results, the patient and RD will begin to build a new individualized diet plan that will help to remove unwanted trigger foods from the diet. The program includes three (3) one hour visits with the RD to set up diet therapy, with an additional three (3) follow-up visits over the course of six months. Further dietary intervention is available as needed.
