The Neuroscience of Grieving

I stumbled upon this article as I was looking for something else. Certain pieces caught my attention, causing me to print and read the entire article.

The article, authored by Gina Stepp, discusses how individuals are neurologically affected by grief and sorrow, and how we need to increase our understanding of the process of bereavement.

Points in the article parallel many of our own viewpoints about the mind and the body.  Stepp touches upon the areas of exercise, socialization, and mental activity from the viewpoint that these areas have a positive influence in grief recovery and allow us to properly deal with depression and loneliness.

This article may be relevant for those experiencing grief, or for those that have a friend or relative that is coping with grief or sorrow.
